Hey guys introducing myself here , names Paul . I’m also on a super duty forum and the amount of knowledge and help gained through these forums prompted me to make an account. I have an 89 f 150 4x4 5.0 short bed reg cab and a 2004 f 350 reg cab long bed 4x4 6 speed 6.0 powerstroke . Both decent trucks . The f 150 though needed some refresh so I went and did cap and rotor , wires , spark plugs , deleted egr and smog system completely and wired in resistors to make sure there’s no cel. Soldered new capacitors into the ecm because they were leaking , headers because they were leaking , pcv valve all new vacuum lines tab/tab and evr solenoid delete with the smog / egr removal, upper and lower intake gaskets valve cover gaskets , Saginaw power steering conversion , new headlights all new fluids with a coolant flush thermostat and housing you name it I did . While removing lower intake I broke two bolts both front ones .. one came out with some heat, and turning the other fought me for over a week… well today that son of a gun came out with lots of heat, welding , time ,and patience … I just wanted to join to be able to pass on some of the stuff I’ve learned with these processes because there isn’t a ton on some of the stuff so if anybody needs any help I feel pretty confident with this truck as well as the 6.0 powerstroke having built both from the ground up (on multiple trucks I previously owned as well) but anyways thank you guys again for all you’ve taught me and hopefully I can help someone else with that one thing they just can’t find
-Paul
