Default Introducing

New to forum and my 2019 f150 lariat still feels new to me. Got the truck back in December of 2020.

Based in Seattle, WA— love having a truck in the city minus some parking garages. Was contemplating trading it in or selling, but cruising around this forum has made me change my mind. Truck is the perfect size, great for road trips, and our dog loves the back seat when they are folded up.

Default New and old, happy with this find

Cbinspok, 1995 F150 190K miles auto XLT, 302 motor and 308 rear in

Howdy,,, newbe Here, Spent a long time with Dodge trucks never thought much about Chevy. Needed a u/p and started looking at the want ads. I have found myself with a F150. It had a single owner good life till it became a gift to a grandson. A short time later when it wasn’t good enough it went up for sale. I was in need of hauler, home goods from northern Washington to souther Oregon (an eventual move) and looked at a host of 4thousand dollar trucks and felt like this ford was a good bet.

Well I was right, I am quite smitten with it. The care to the motor and drive train is quite evident as I didn’t have to get too dirty out the gate. Runs like a top and on our first round trip loaded out it got better then 18 mpg. burned no oil and the air con works great TG.

The truck has one annoying Issue that hope one of you guys can point me to a solution. The electrical was hammered a bit by junior. I successfully was able to remove some electrical “implant” for stereo and had to instal a new ignition switch, light switch and remover an old trailer brake switch.

Now EVERYTHING works as it should cruse control, lights, radio Non stock, windows, locks, horn, turns and parking lites. The front tank gas gauge wasn’t working so with 200 K on the odee, I changed out the front pump/sending unit and fixed that too.

So everything EXCEPT the Dash lights. I wish I could fix this annoying bit. I bought a new (old) dash that had a tach in it off ebay, thinking I would also gain the dash lights as a bonus fix but sadly No. (tach is a great addition-glad to have that) So with a new light switch and

a second dash as a test I’m pretty sure its the power feed problem to the light switch but my chitons manual is pretty bad about this area with no schematic.

So… If any of you gents have a wire color / or intel what I should be looking for, I sure would appreciate it! I know the Ford would too, It would feel like a brand new truck to me Lol. Its a keeper!

Thanks Cbinspok
