Intake manifold
I joined this forum as I read a thread about someone who has the identical problem as me.
I purchased a used 2016 F150 Lariat from a main dealer in Alabama with nearly 200000 miles . It is in good condition however when I was due to collect it post delivery service the service engine soon light came up and eventually it was diagnosed as ithe ntake manifold was faulty. This was replaced supposedly, and I eventually collected it and drove it home. It did seem to run better. Next day I took it out for a run and the Service engine soon light came back on again. I had to take it back to the dealer who kept it a week to diagnose it again as another faulty intake manifold.. They told me its got to be redesigned by Ford and currently two months later it is now on "back order"
I dont drive the truck much. Recently I have found that the engine is leaking oil on my new garage floor. I took out an extended warranty for the pricey sum of $5K only to find out from the insurance company that they don`t cover seals and gaskets when I was sold a bumper to bumper warranty and the glossy brochure states it covers seals and gaskets.
It seems I am one of many who have inherited the intake problem.
Has anyone had theirs fixed.
