I been checking out the forum and asked a couple questions and I guess its time I introduced myself. Name is Wes. Ford trucks and I go way back. I bought my first F150 when I graduated high school. It was a 93. Less then ten years off the line back then, but had 210k hard miles on it. I spent the next 5 years hauling rock and roll equipment all over Michigan. 300 i6, m 5spd. Eventually the truck fell out from under the engine. I scrapped that truck at almost 450k miles. I should have kept that engine. I drove s bunch of crap cars until I found the truck I have now. 92 custom with the same engine and trans as my old 93, with only 170k miles in 2012! And dinal rustproofing still intact! About as mint as it gets round here. The perfect vehicle to use while trying to start our small organic farm.
Well now its time to bring this truck as close to mint as I can. Im loving this forum and Im starting to get a handle on how to reaally get good info. Thanks.

Hello and welcome. When I listen closely I can hear the rust growing. Could be mine but more likely yours and or others in Michigan.

 

Rust, yes. Ironically, the Motor City sits right on top of a salt mine. Luckily my county is too broke to salt roads anymore!
