Hopeful new owner from AK...eventually.
Howdy -
I'm new to the forum and Ford trucks but I have been tracking the build data on my soon to be new truck (XLT S-Crew 4x4 302A and a few other bells and whistles) like a new parent. My F-150, known as SMT "Sweet Mother Trucker" in the house (much to the chagrin of my wife and kids) will be the first Ford I've ever owned. I've had a few Tacomas -currently rolling in a '17 Taco and while I love it, it's just too small now for two adults, two gangly teenagers and a dog for camping trips and family visits. We need a full size with full size space. I was excited about the new Tundras but the insane prices, untested hybrid technology, and overall weird options and design choices quickly steered me to the F-150. Not looking back!!
SMT is in production as of 5/25/22 but I have a feeling it'll take a while to complete and get up to Alaska. Rail to boat to trailer; a true intermodal journey that will hopefully end in my driveway before the end of summer.
