Default Hood latch not disengaging

Hey every body,
I'm new to the F150 Forum, but I'm glad I found it!

I am unable to get the hood latch to disengage. How do I get that done without ruining the hood?

Thanks!

Can you hear the catch on the hood moving or is it just plain frozen? You will nee another person to slightly lift or push down on your hood as you pull the lever. After getting it opened generously spray the latch mechanism and catch with lithium grease and work the mechanism lever back and forth.

Default Hood latch

Thanks for the quick reply JimfX4.

I tried the two person method like you described, but it just won't release. I sprayed some oil up there about an hour and a half ago, but it still won't release.
