Default Homework time

Hi all, new member from VA. I'm in the market for a new F150 and this looks like a great site to research information and ask a few questions.

I'm interested in a 4X2 supercrew cab, 5.5 bed. I'm doing my homework on the Ecoboost six and V8 powertrains

I brought a sixer as a gift, I put it in the fridge.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Let me tell you, I have the screw with the 5.0, That was my choice, I like it But your best best bet is to do a search on both engine choices here, I'm sure you will find the info you are looking for. Everyone will have their own preference for certain. Good reading. Share pics when you get that new ride.

I will add to the above. After you do all of the online research and your eyes pop out of your head, test drive both. Then make a list of what you want to do with the truck. I personally like the 5.0. There are thousands of the eco's and 5.0's out there with no problems. People come to forums to vent or share quirks with their trucks. No two are exactly the same. Put your research together with the list and mental notes from the test drives, then make your decision.

Oh, and welcome to the forum. Lol.

EDIT** Don't forget about the 2.7 Eco. It's the new baby to the Ford family. Might surprise you. Same with the 3.5 NA motor.

Default Welcome!

Just bought 14 SCrew with 5.0 in July.Like the ecoboost as well but that v8 sound is hard to resist! You should be in position for a deal now if its on a 14!
