My first F150 was a 1997 Extended cab XLT with the Offroad and towing packages with the 4.6 V-8 and Manual 5 speed transmission. I ended up putting 390,000 miles on it. the clutch and waterpump were original when I finally had to scrap it after 20 years because in north Central Ohio the salt rotted most of the truck away. I loved that truck. I now have acquired a 2016 XLT extended cab FX4 with a 5.0 V-8 and a 6 speed automatic transmission. I like the the fact that I can use FORScan software on the new truck, I still wish FORD offered a manual transmission. That would help out with all the cell phone distractions.
