My name is Ezra (j0z0d34th was my online handle half a lifetime ago and my military call sign shortened to joz). I am just getting out of my service in the israeli army where I was in an elite unite called 'handassah kiravit' or warfield engineers, our main job was to blow things up, find and sap mines, and build bridges/temporary control centers. I was bought a tsx which I modded but I can go back to driving a sedan after driving a humvee for the last 2 years. after I looked at my different options regarding trucks I decided to join a forum or two and get a cleaner picture of the trucks I am considering. as of now the only real option is the F150 but i am worried about a few things, firstly monthly costs for gas/insurance/maintenance. and which mods i can do, i have not been able to find that many performance enhancing mods. currently I am going to purchase a 5.4 supercab 4x4.
other questions include which options i should get. i know i need the trailer hitch but aside for that should i get the better stereo or should i just redo that myself? (my tsx had the gps unit built in i really like that feature for road trips are there any head units that are a direct fit that include a gps feature?)
