Default Hi from eastern IL

Just bought my first F150 after owning many Rangers, a couple Dakotas and a really lousy S-10. Damn fine truck. It's a 98 Super Cab. Managed to get it with 188000 miles for $2000 because the prior owner thought the 4wd was going out. Said it started a quiet high pitch whine in 4wd back in December so he hasn't been using the 4wd since then. When I looked, the front differential was leaking. So I bought it, took it home and sure enough the gear oil was low. Replaced the gasket. The old oil only had the slightest amount of metal fleck in it if you looked at it just right in the light. Topped it off with new oil. No more whine. I only use the 4WD to get out of the occasional tight spot anyway, so it's good to me. Just thought I would say hi in here before posting my first (and probably not last) question in the forum.

Not particularly. Just plan to drive it til it won't go anymore. There is about a 3x5" rust spot I plan to address soon.
