Hey, happy to be here
Hello from the end of the road in BC.
I finally pulled the trigger and switched back to a truck this month. A 2017 Lariat with the 3.5.
This site was a font of info to help guide my decision.
A bit of background,
My “first car” was a 1970 fastback Mustang that at the time was basically a Boss tribute before there were tributes.
More than 80 cars later (yup I’m that old) there have been many a Ford.
There was a ‘63 Comet
a 61 Ranchero
5-early Broncos in various states of disrepair ( ok one was awesome with a 5.0 from a Mustang and a np435)
a 78 f150 2wd
and I’ve been in way too many e150’s and f150s for work for the past 25 years.
I have to admit I don’t get the astronomical prices being asked for early Broncos or most old metal these days but we can have this conversation another time.
I come from the time of points and condensers, carburetors and manual chokes so I do have concerns about how much I can do to maintain these new ones.
Im glad to see there is a great source of info here that should make my “new truck” easier to own.
Thanks for having me.
