Default Hello from VA!

Hello,

I am new to the forum, obviously, but I wanted to say hello. I've been lurking for a few months but figured I'd create an account to ask some questions.

This summer I intend on buying a pickup truck. This will be my first truck as I would be coming from a 2007 Subaru WRX that I've had for going on 10 years now, and it's time to step in to an adult vehicle (not that I don't love my WRX).

I have no brand loyalty to a particular manufacturer as it seems every owner of a specific make of truck has an opinion that their Ford is better, or their Ram is better or their Chevy is better, or the Ram transmissions are garbage, or the Ford breaks down all the time, etc. you get the point. I'm just looking to cut through the BS and I think I have my choice narrowed down to the F 150 XLT or Lariat Sport and the Ram 1500 Sport.

I understand this is a Ford forum so opinions will be bias, but I'm interested in a crew cab F 150 4x4 either Sport...can you tell I hate chrome? My wife has a Hyundai Santa Fe with the type of key that you walk up to the door and push a button on the handle to lock and unlock the car, do the XLT's have an option for that, or only the Lariat?

I was wondering what I should expect to pay for something like that? True car seems to say around $40,000 for a Super Crew 4x4 XLT Sport with 302A and a 2.7L Ecoboost but I want to be informed from actual customers about prices before walking in to the dealer. I appreciate any help or tips you may provide me, thanks guys!

Your best bet would be to create two different threads, the intro here and then take your questions to the specific year group forum for the truck you're looking at.
