I am new to the Ford F150 forum and have joined looking for information and advice. I have a 2000 F-150 Supercab 4X4, with at 5.4 liter Triton engine. It is a great truck but after almost 18 years and 198K miles... it needs some TLC in the body and interior. The engine is in great shape and this vehicle has gone with me everywhere from work to moving kids to college to hunting in rugged West Texas. But now I am thinking of a little overhaul starting with the engine, new bumpers and Kevlar paint, new interior seats (remove the back bench) carpet and headliner... I am looking for a good mechanic in the Dallas area with a proven track record that can handle the engine overhaul and a paint and body guy that can apply Kevlar...Hopefully this will be a fun process.
