Hello from SLC, Utah
Name: Jer
Home: SLC, Utah
Truck: See signature
Family: Married with 1 daughter, 3 dogs
Occupation: Pipeline Integrity Engineer, Strategic Commercialization
College: Degree in Non-Destructive Testing
Hobbies: Shooting and modifying Glocks. CCW = G26, Target = G19C, Boating, Camping, Fishing, Reading, Research
Previous Truck: 2004 Ford F350. Sold it after turbo and head gaskets failed.
Favorite Beer: Guinness, Murphy's, Squatters Oatmeal Stout
Interesting thing about me: Expert in metallurgy, Cryogenics, cold working and structural fatigue in carbon and alloy steels. I first got in to trucks when i bought a 1996 Ford Bronco that eventually became a full time rock crawler with a D44HD axle swap, lockers, custom bumpers, skids, everything. I bought the F350 to tow the Bronco, then after almost killing myself I sold the Bronco to buy a 40' Toy hauler and two Arctic Cat Utility quads. Ive since sold the Toy Hauler and now have a 26' boat that I pull with the F150, and a hard-side camper trailer that my wife pulls with her Ridgeline.
My goal here is to learn about my new truck. My only mods I have in mind are a leveling kit, Scan-gauge, and maybe a few little comfort items jhere and there. I have been advised by a good friend who is a Ford Sr. Technician not to change the intake or tune it with off-the-shelf electronics.
Well that is my story. Now I hope that the forum gods will be mailing me a 3XL t-shirt since I signed up for a premium membership right out the gate.
