Hello out there
Hi new to the forum. Frankly pretty new to pickup trucks.
I've actually wanted a 4x4 truck all my life, but never got one until this 22 F-150 XLT FX4 that I bought 1 year ago w/ 3,025 miles on the odometer. I've been a biker all my life, and trucks hold their value so well compared to the old
V-8 sedans I've always been able to buy from original owners for dirt cheap. So I've always had a really nice motorcycle and a cheap old luxury 4-door.
Old and busted retired/disabled veteran now, so I said goodbye to motorcycles and hello to pickup trucks. At this point I'm not interested in going offroad just to go 4x4ing. Rather, I wanted 4-wheel drive for inclement weather and to be able to go where I want to go (which does not include incredibly steep hills or the most badass jeep trails. The FX4 package seemed really good to me because I really value UTILIY (towing and hauling) and with the Max-Tow package I got my Ford was pretty much THE apex towing machine at near 14k lbs. There wasn't a Ram, GMC/Chevy or anything that came close to the towing Ford offered.
Been driving it for a year now. Really love our truck. I've got the 3.5L Eco and love having 400hp and 500ft/lbs. But so far haven't towed anything yet. But planning to! We moved most of a household into a large storage and our truck saved our sanity.
Anyway, my real reason for joining this forum is that there is just a lot of stuff about pickup trucks that I'd like to know but have no clue. Would like to read up and ask questions and maybe one day even be able to answer them.
So hi everybody
