Hello from a new Ford owner.
Hello all,
Just bought a 2019 F-150 XLT. Not crazy optioned but it's a nice upgrade for me. As I'm sitting here writing this it occurs to me that last time I had a Ford vehicle was when I graduated high school and bought a Pinto station wagon to get back and forth to college.
It was used, beat up and very cheap. Since then, nearly 40 years later I've had numerous new and used vehicles and not a single Ford. No particular reason why I guess. Just always bought what fit my needs and budget at the time. Just prior to my new F-150 I had a 2013 Equinox. Before the Equinox I had a Dodge Dakota. About a month after buying the Equinox I regretted my decision to not buy another truck. But somehow I stuck it out and now 6 years after buying the Equinox I'm back to a truck and I'm quite happy. My XLT is a supercab, 4x4, 3.5 V6, tow package, heated seats, adjustable pedals and a few other things. Would I like to have some of the other higher end options? Sure - but the Equinox was starting to nickel and dime me to death so I started looking at trucks. Found a local dealer who had this F-150 on the lot. The sticker price was just shy of $52K. After Ford discounts and rebates and dealer discounts the price was $34.5K. They gave me $5K for the Equinox (with check engine light on) and final price without tax was $29.5K. Picked it up two days after Christmas. Was a great present!
Looking forward to participating in the forum.
