Default Hello from N.S Canada!

Hey guys!

I'm new to the forum and new to the truck scene. After an extensive search for a project, last night I picked myself up a 97 F-150 Reg cab, short box 2wd. It's a 4.2 with a 5 Speed. My plan is to drive it basically as is for the winter, then come spring time I would like to clean it up with a body job and rear levelling kit. My goal is to have a truck capable of towing a 2,300lb car on a 1500lb trailer am I pushing my luck? I'm open to suggestions and any help towards this truck, thanks for viewing!

Welcome from Southern California. The 4.2L won't win any races but it should pull your load fine with a 5 speed.

It does seem to have a little more tq then I expected, just had my fourwheeler + wheels in the back and didn't notice any difference.

Id like to post pictures of it but my laptop is down and I can't figure it out from my iPhone...
