Hello from Houston.
Hey guys,
I am picking up a 2018 F-150 XL with the 3.5 Ecoboost this Friday. I'm coming from a 2016 Ram 1500 R/T RCSB. It was a fun little sport truck, but man I really need some more room than a reg. cab has to offer.
I've been going back and forth between getting the 5.0 or the 3.5 eco. I won't be doing much towing if any at all, so the gas mileage (plus the ability to do a basic tune and get some good hp/tq) was appealing. Decided on the 3.5 eco. Also, seems like a very touchy discussion as to which is "better" (Obviously lots of opinions out there and like anything both engines have pros/cons.)
In the entire Houston area I have only seen 1 XL trim with the 3.5 ecoboost in a 2WD.
