Default Hello from GA

Hey everyone. New potential owner here.

Currently drive a fairly modded 2014 Tacoma, but we are shopping campers and most that we're interested in are a little too heavy for the taco even with the tow package.

I started shopping 2016 Lariats last night, although I would rather get a 2017, and would welcome any advice. I've got access to X-plan pricing through work.

Will need a little more information. What kind of "advice" were you looking for? Sounds like you are looking for something new and that can handle towing. How heavy are these campers AND how frequently will you be towing, and who / what will be in the truck while you're towing the camper?

Well, I guess I was ambiguous because I would be glad for any info - not just towing. This would be my first F150, so pricing, options, model year, etc. No good advice is unwelcome.

To answer your questions though, we are currently looking at a TT with a max weight of around 6300 lbs. we might go as high as 8000 lbs, but we don't want anything really big. I've already started to learn about WDHs, IBCs and other "must haves" that folks have recommended, but general info as well as F150-specific info is great.

Family consists of 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 8 and 9) so about 500 lbs of people plus camper and misc stuff. We currently camp 1-3 times/season, but are limited to about 2.5 seasons a year due to being tent based now. Looking to move to 4-season camping, about once/month for the weekend/long weekend.
