Hello from North Central Florida! Finally back into a Ford and definitely wasn’t a mistake!
So I happily left the Jeep life the beginning of this month in change for a 2016 F150 with the FTX package and couldn’t be happier. As much as I had in my Jeep, it was nice to see someone throw thousands into a vehicle they traded in as well.
Had the notorious growl coming from the front end that would go away during a dragging left hand turn so I knew wheel bearings were a must. Bought two new Timkin bearings and the RCV IWE delete since they were giving me every sign and it’s quiet as a mouse now! Also went through the Sync 3.4 update headache and finally got that figured out with cyanlabs and a little messing around with how it uploaded.
Also threw on a S&B intake and a Borla Atak exhaust and couldn’t be more stoked about it. Going from the lackluster minivan motor back to a v8 was worth it, plus I’m getting better gas mileage than a JKU on 37s 5.38 gears.
I definitely have some more plans for it in the future, have to take it easy and drag it out some though.
I have a tuner en route now to get some OZ tuning done, I’m terrible at this dragging stuff out thing.

Welcome to the forum, congrats & good luck with the 16..
.
I’ve heard some of the issues and have been making plans to mitigate them before they’re an legitimate issue. Already have the MMR billet timing set (with secondary chains), oil pump with billet gears, and billet crank pulley ordered.
Eventual plans will be long tubes, gears, boss intake, arp in every threaded orifice, and injectors down the road.
Is the 16 that much of a horror story outside of sync? The previous owner never seemed to have an issue outside of the IWEs (from how the factory hubs looked) and the tailgate stuff by the way the carfax and service history reads. 1 owner, no accidents, and anally serviced by whoever owned it.
