Hello from Colorado
Hello everyone.
I have a new 2018 Lariat on order with the 3.0 diesel. I'm going to be using it mostly as a daily driver but I'm also going to be hauling a Jeep on a trailer from time to time. Still no word on when my truck will get into the production queue but I hear rumors about it starting sometime in March with delivery possibly in May. But we'll see what actually happens.
I'm probably not going to do a lot of mods to it but I will be adding some two-way radios. My Jeep club uses both CBs and Ham radios so I'm already finding some info on what people are doing to get those set up and I'll do the same.

My plan is to get a Kenwood TM-71A and remote mount the face plate on the dash using one of the pro-clip mounts. I've had that unit in my Wrangler for a couple weeks now and it's working out well. I'll just have to find a convenient place to hide the base unit. I already have the front fender NMO mount for the antenna. And running coax is pretty easy.
