Default Hello from Central Illinois

Hello, all. I've actually been a member of the forum for 10 years, but haven't posted a thread until now.

I joined back in 2012, when I had my first F150, a 2008 V8 5.4 Lariat. I owned that for many years, but ended up selling it to thin out the fleet (that was the last time gas got real expensive - and my truck was just sitting there depreciating because I was driving a Civic to work every day). I immediately regretted that decision, and began laying the groundwork with my wife to pick up another one -- which took a couple years to implement. In 2015 I bought my current truck, a beautiful red 2013 F150 Lariat 3.5 Ecoboost.

I do love this truck. At the moment I have 105k on the odometer, and I told my wife I'm going to see if I can run it to 250k. I'm in the process of replacing the timing chain & phasers (hence my desire to finally begin posting), and have uncovered some other issues that are testing my love for the thing right now. That's life with the Ecoboost: when things are good, they're great. When things are not good, you're looking for a hammer and something to bash with it.

At any rate, I will work to become a more participatory member!

Greg

The day I brought it home.
