Default Hello from another in Nova Scotia

Down on NS south shore... have a 2000 F-150, about 220,000 km on it now (138K miles). Getting into a fair amount of repairs lately, rust issues and wearing out of parts. Hope to get another couple of years out of it, if I can. Retired school counsellor, main interests are now writing and painting, house repair and renovations (when did I get time to work??). Had a previous F-150 years ago, might have been about a '92, but can't recall. I've usually had a truck over the years for utility (Mazda, S-10, Dakota, couple of Fords). I used to do a lot of my own mechanical work, but have tried to lay off lately and have it done. Driveway mechanics is not always a fun thing, and usually reinforces my belief that no job is done well until you bleed on it! Will attach a link to my novel on the signature, unless that is a no-no, in which case a moderator will likely remove it. I've used this forum before, searching for solutions, and found a good one earlier today re my heater fan issues, so felt I should join and post a response.
