Hi all. Just picked up my first F150. It lived a sketchy life. Two repos and a paint code on the valve cover indicating a non-original engine. Plenty to work on here but it survived its 560 mile voyage home. Why did I go so far for something so, um, risky? It's a rare combo, I think. F150, SuperCrew, 6.5" bed. Are these more common than I think they are? All the space inside, all the space outside, a foot longer than my Suburban and a 150" WB which makes for a great highway ride but turns and parking lots require some attention.

Needs a radio, headlight lens, better bulbs, some interior trim, a spare key and remotes, jack, antenna, and plenty more I'm sure I'll discover.

Looking forward to learning enough to be able to answer here instead of just asking, which will be me for a while.

Without knowing the year, and model there is little way we can advise. In my opinion those who get the short box bought a truck for their wife to get groceries.
