Default Hello all

New user to F150FORUM, thanks for having me.

Looking to rebuild an 86 F150 4x 6c my 2nd son ran thru a wall 18 months ago. Got tired of it sitting in the side yard and took a longer look. Not as bad as I thought... Thinking I can do most of it myself... with help of course, your help!!

I'll post up some pics as start to assess and get ready to tear it down. Short version is need both front fenders, hood and grill. Drivers radius arm and bracket. All front lights. Steering arm and drag link unknown.. Radiator core support looks straight. I think the frame is straight, that would be a deal killer.

Look forward to looking around and getting some tips.

Sean

Ha! Actually it was his, bought for $1500. Both he and his older brother had a beater 84 Bronco II they learned on and drove for a year or two each. Did the Duraspark ignition swap and that thing just ran and ran. 4x worked perfectly and everything. Great first truck for them, it was already beat to hell and had a front coil swap for a bit of lift. fun enough and too slow to really get into too much trouble.

The F150 I sorta just adopted. Looking forward to seeing if I can revive it. Not much of a wrencher but I can fiddle around for sure.

Ahh, good deal. At least you have a few hands to help you out. I hope to do that with my boy when hes older. Maybe with my current truck.

Good luck!
