just a hello from me, just joined and will be putting in a new ford re manufactured long block on a 1988 ford 4.9 ltr I 6 cyl xlt lariet with the old 4 speed and a granny gear, i had the truck since 1992 and is just now beginning to knock in the bottom, oil pressure gone, it is a great old truck, and with a little help from my friends hope to here it run again in a couple weeks, new oil pump wont help it i replaced it with timing gears about 7 years ago, and truck has around 300k on it....
