Default S-Cab vs S-Crew

I primarily chose the SuperCab because I like the looks better than a SuperCrew for the same wheelbase. I live in a condo with a tiny garage. A regular cab with 6.5 foot box might squeeze in but nothing bigger. I definitely wanted some cab storage so the regular cab was out.

That left me with either the S-Cab with 6.5' bed or the S-Crew with 5.5' bed. I don't like the looks of the S-Crew with the short bed for some reason. I liked that look on my SportTrac but feel it doesn't translate as well to the full-size. Just personal preference.

I have no need of four doors because my kids are grown and moved out so I don't have curtain climbers to worry about. For me, it came down to trading a foot of storage space in the cab for a extra foot in the bed. I chose the bed space for looks and because it allows me to haul my bikes with the tailgate closed.

If it had come down to getting a S-Crew with all of the other options that I wanted or getting no truck at all, I would have taken the S-Crew with no regrets (and almost did) but I am very happy with the S-Cab. It looks better to me, has a good ratio of inside and outside cargo space and it was a bit cheaper.
