Hello
I'm new. I've browsed the forum for a few days, looking for info. I'm a Mitsubishi guy, and if I had lots of money, I'd be driving a new GMC and an old 3000GT, rather than a new Outlander Sport and and old F150.
I just got the truck. I like my Outlander, and it's fantastic on gas. I always like to have a truck. I had a nice Dodge Ram but it got totaled in a hail storm a few years ago. It was cheaper to get an old beater truck than to trade...I should have just gotten another truck, but gas was almost $4 a gallon, and probably will be again.
I bought a 1994 F150 with the 5.8. Automatic, 2wd. It was cheap. Little banged up, but runs strong, and I don't need it to win a beauty pageant.
I'm not super knowledgable about automotive stuff, but I can learn pretty fast. I did all the maintenance on all my older rice mobiles from using a manual and google.
It's got some nitpicky things to fix, but it starts and runs like a champ, and whoever had it before me put a dual exhaust on...sounds okay. Little raspy, but I'll take it since it was free.
I like it. I was never much of a Ford guy, but the price was right and the truck had what I wanted - power, and space.
