Hi everyone, in the next day or two I'll be buying a used F-150. I'm asking for advice in that area with my post in the General section if any want to weigh in. Trying to decide between a certified '09 FX4 with 15k miles or an '11 Platinum edition with 70k miles. Both priced about the same.

I think I'll be the last guy in a Texas to buy a truck!

 

Definitely platinum. The upgraded engine in the 11 alone is worth it to me, let alone everything else a platinum comes with.

 

Thanks Bryson just what I was looking for as didn't really know the 5.0 in the 11 would be that much better than the Triton 5.4.

 

Oh yes definitely. Nothing wrong with the 5.4, it's a proven platform, but 5.0 is pretty much superior in every category, you'll definitely love it's power compared to the triton. Plus you get the platinum interior.
