Talking Greetings from Waco

Good Afternoon all,

Did a quick search on the net to find some info ref: speakers and ran across the following two threads that seem to be precisely what I needed.

https://www.f150forum.com/f30/new-do...f-pics-181202/

https://www.f150forum.com/private.ph...pm&pmid=647357

I bought a new 13' F-150 XLT SuperCrew 4x4 in March, and today the right front speaker blew. I also have a 2008 Volvo C70 Convertible with the Dynadio package ( A pillar tweeters, door speakers, rear speakers, subs in the back seats, center speaker's etc ) that sounds phenomenal, so the 150's stock system leaves MUCH to be desired.

Anyway, as I don't wish to raid the last of my kids college fund, I was looking for the exact advice I found on the above threads. I just needed to make sure a standard speaker size would work prior to ripping the door panels off. Last time I did that (Z71, I know, I know, I left the fold, pipe down, at least I'm back) their speakers were molded into some monstrous plastic assembly that had to be replaced. Standard sized aftermarket would have been a nightmare.

So, I'm glad to be aboard, glad to have something else to read on the net and look forward to learning as much as I can about this thing.

Now, about that hole in the front bumper that Ford couldn't seem to figure out what to do with......

Welcome from SoCal. This forum has many sections to help you. All of your questions have been asked and answered in the past, under the "general discussion" section of this forum. The bumper Q was addressed in the last few days. Good luck.

Thanks Marc,
Love the F-250. First truck was an F100 (80 with 300 straight 6). Since then a few have crossed my path:
88 S10 Blazer 4X4 with the 2.8 Liter. (POS if ever there was one)
91 Ranger reg cab, 4X4 with 2.3 I4
95 F-150reg cab XLT 5.0 in that crazy nineties weird bright green.
97 Mazda B4000 Crew 4X4.
99 Jeep Wrangler, TJ, that I put WAY too much money in.
02 Dodge Ram Sport
04 GMC 2500HD Z71
06 GMC 1500HD Z71
08 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71
which brings us to today...

I'm back. After having driven them all, I think Ford has the best product. Of course, that 250 King Ranch is already looking pretty good...Maybe I need a bigger boat, cause THEN, I'd need more truck to pull her.
