Greetings from Tulsa.
I just bought a 2023 F-150 Sport with the 5 liter V8. Dad was a Ford man and owned a construction company, so I've driven Ford all my life. I drove a chevy truck, once. But the oil line blew and I had to get alternate transportation. It's been Ford ever since. (In all fairness to chevy, I drove a 396 Impala in high school. It was an ok car.)
In college I had a new '78 Ford Bronco. I put headers and mags on it and kept it for about six, maybe seven, years. I used it all over, but bought it to hunt and fish Golden Pond area in Murray, Ky. (One of the colleges I attended.) Never should have sold it, but, hindsight and all.
My next truck was a used '82 F-150 with a straight six. Hoss of a truck and I loved that engine. But my ex-wife got it in the exchange. It was paid for and the Galaxy was not. I got the car and the debt and she took my truck.
Then was a used F-150 (dunno what year) that I had briefly before I traded it on a new '99 w/the troubled V6. That one I kept till 2014.
I traded the '99 on a new/old stock 2013. The '13 was a 4x4, also 5 liter. I traded it on the 2023 and the '13 had 47,000 miles on it.
I'm old and figure the '23 might be my last new truck.
That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Thanks for listening.
