Default Greetings from Florida

Just got my first 150 and my second ford all together! Previously I had a 1991 ranger 4x4 with 270,000 miles. Ran like a champ! Traded up for a 2002 dodge Dakota and it blew a head gasket at 143,000. So now I got a 2005 f150 fx4 stepside with 167,000 miles. I love it already! Glad to be back in a ford. I've just been reading about the 5.4 ticking noises. Mine is making the same noise. But runs as if there is no problem. I've seen them with 200,000+ making the same noise. Is it something that has to be fixed or is it just a noise bearing thing?
