Default Fuel Sensor

Hi-

I am new to forum. My 2010 F150 4.6LSOHC has 36K miles and has been wonderful. Recently it started to fail to restart on hot days. Running errands it will turn over but not catch every once in a while. Only started 3 months ago. It eventually starts but incidents seem to be increasing.

Local mechanic says it has a pending code related to a fuel sensor in the tank and I should take to the dealer. He is not sure if it a common issue or if any warranty would apply. He described it as like a vapor lock but he really wasn't sure. Said it could be expensive if they have to access the tank.

Would anyone have any similar experience?

Thanks
