Freshly converted from to Ford
Greetings folks! I'm a fresh convert from a hardcore Chevy fan, had an 03 S10 (I know, that's not really even a truck) pulled an empty 18ft trailer, one time... Broken double cardan joint, busted tranny cooler in the radiator, etc, etc, $3,000 later, it's still weaker than water.
Decided to shop around for full sized trucks, because I needed a full sized. Found a 95 F150, 300 inline 6, 5 spd 2WD for a decent price. I know first hand the abuse Ford's I6 can take, so I jumped on it.
It's got a few issues (what wouldn't after 316,700 miles?!?) but all in all, one helluva truck. Starts on a dime, no ticks, clutch still holding plenty of meat, etc. The problems it does have aren't the trucks fault, the previous (2nd) owner loved half stepping. But I'm hoping to have it all back OE and operational by summers end. I'm still driving it now, so 99.9% of the problems are nothing major, had to replace the clutch master cylinder, still need to adjust the pedal arm and she'll be well on her way to 100% again
