Hey gang, Fresh Meat here from Nebraska. Not new to automotive forums but absolutely new to trucks. Long story short, I'm a California native that likes fast cars. Recently fled CA and moved to Nebraska for a new life. Family said you better get a 4x4 if you move to Nebraska. I've needed a truck for years but never "wanted" one and was always against having one. Well the time has come and here I am.
Picked up a 2013 XLT Super Crew 4x4 with the 5.0 at 82,237 miles, I cant lie I absolutely love it and regret not getting one earlier in life (the wife and kids love the truck as well). I've already made more trips to the dump than I can count. Hauled furniture to Kansas twice that we gave to family (more of those trips very soon). Made multiple Home Depot trips, etc, etc. Ya'll know the routine
So far I've put in Husky floor liners, LED headlights, fog lights, interior, bed and license plates lights. Installed an Airaid intake tube to the stock airbox that replaced a homemade white PVC pipe intake that was spray painted black from a previous owner. Husky rear wheelwell liners. I have a 9-drive (Speedform knock-off) Throttle controller that I'll put in when I get the time. I know nothing about trucks to be honest .
Someday I'll have to figure out what that switch that says 4x4 does and how those sliders that say trailer brakes work.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking truck, love the color, but I am a little biased. The switch that says 4x4 engages the 4WD. The sliders that say trailer brakes is the trailer brake controller for when you are pulling a trailer that has brakes on the trailer it engages the trailer brakes when you step on your brakes.
