freeze plug quantity?
Ok so I have owned a 1998 F-150 for a few years now and have recently replaced rotors and wheel bearings and stabilizer links. I had noticed when on the drivers side that one of the freeze plugs was leaking (the easy one to get at). I ordered freeze plug and recieved a box of ten of them. Is that how many there are on a 4.2 v6? I have decided to replace all of them since if one is going the rest aren't far behind. Just wanted to know how many of them there are and where. Are there a couple of them at the rear of the block? I have had fluid dripping at the transmission. The trans is an automatic. I don't have a garage so I will be raising the engine to get at the ones behind the motor mounts.
