Forgot to do an intro so here it is.
Crawfish351: I forgot to do an introduction before I started posting,
big apologies to the forum. F150 5.4L 3v is my daily driver and project for the time being. Super charger and stage two crower cams are the current upgrades with 3" dual exhaust scavanged through a magnaflow (X) pipe of 3" and exiting through two, 2chamber mufflers from thrush: same dimensions and internal delta baffles as flowmaster with less than half the cost. They are fully welded and aluminized steel. $29.00 3" in and out off center.
Ya gotta appreciate the savings , Yes I have heard them and they sound great. Thrush is made by Dynomax and will give you the flow numbers for there mufflers on there website. Seems strange so many other companies wont do this. I think its pretty important when flow in and out of the engine is important to the engine. I decided to go with 3" because these engines breath well and produce lots of exhaust heat and I intend to boost as much as possible keeping the stock cats. Cut and weld is in order. The stock cats are used on the harley truck and saleen mustang and both have wipple chargers so they must have good flow. Ill keep updates as the progress goes.
