Ford Guy from way back...
What's up from Fort Benning...
I know everyone has their reasons for owning a Ford and part of mine goes back to my old man (1945-2001). He loved them and we always had Fords in our family. Fairlanes, Mavericks, Mustangs, LTD's and Galaxies. Pretty much all 70's models. Not so much trucks, but that was my love affair.
My wife bought me a 1994 Explorer and surprised me with it when I came home from my second deployment to Iraq and I fell in love with it. It was mine. Nobody loved it like I do. I'll never get rid of it. Work in progress.
Eventually our kids grew up and we didn't need the big old 8 passenger GMC Envoy we were using as our family car anymore and she got her self a little Honda. I got rid of the Envoy when I found my 1994 Ford F-150 XLT. I have always wanted a truck of that particular generation and one just fell in my lap. With a 302/5.0 engine and a 4R70W transmission I knew I had to have it. The hunter green paintjob and tan interior were just a bonus. Who would have guessed I would have found one the same year as my Explorer? AM/FM Cassette Bro!
Anyway, it's good to be here and I hope that I get to know a few of you and maybe get to help someone along the way.
May your beer mugs always be frosty...
