First time Ford owner
Long time truck owner
My first vehicle was a truck, a 95 chevy s-10 2.2 litre rwd base base truck, it was a slow turd and unreliable as anything, but you get what you pay for when you buy a 2k dollar truck. I drove it for about 2 years before i totaled it.
Had a bunch of aftermaket parts so i decided to get another
Second truck was a 94 chevy s-10, slightly better as it had a 4.3 liter V6 but still an unreliable POS.
Drove that through college then bought a 2000 Taco, TRD extended cab, loved that truck, had it for 6 months before toyota bought it back due to a rusting frame. (paid 10k for it, they bought it back for 15k) not bad!
Decided to stick with toyota since they took care of me, was able to upgrade to a nicer 2005 Tundra with access cab, TRD/SR5 with a V8. This truck treated me well for 8 years and 100k miles. nearing the end it was just starting to show its age and it was becoming a liability. I was able to get a good trade in on it, so I will wrap this story up,
I am now a proud owner of a 2014 F150, FX4 Super crew, fully loaded all the bells and whistles, This is by far the most excited I have ever been about a truck and possibly just as exciting as the two Honda S2000's I have owned made me.
I think part of it is going from older vehicles with zero Tech in them to a truck that has everything except for massaging seats.
I really hope this Ford treats me as well as my Tundra did.
Sorry for the novel. I look forward to learning more about this truck!
