Default First time Ford owner

Just bought a new to me F150 4WD ~ 97 with 218,000 miles for less then $1500.... Deal or no deal?

I wanted to join a Forum to gain insight.

Yes she runs and drives Great!! Just got her a full synthetic oil change today!! its been so long since she had one the filter was rusted on poor girl...

She needs a lot of attention however , the previous owner or owners tore her down mechanically.... The 4WD wont engage ~ It squeaks as it bounces ~ the exhaust needs to be replaced ~ As I inspected it even before I bought her I noticed that there is some oil gooped up by the plugs? and there looks like some leakage out of the rear axle? So, I am researching all about her so I can fix her up ...

Well fix it up as you have the cash and you will have a good truck
