Hey everyone names jeremy and i joined the forum to get to know a little bit about the f150. I have driven cars all my life and decided to get a truck for iowa winters and to haul stuff like the wheeler. I also have two kids so i was looking at a 2001 Ford F-150 XLT 4x4 supercrew. my car will still be my main vehicle and the truck will be for weekends and driving the 1hr to and from work during the winter and other odds and ins. So it wont be an everyday driver(so i say now). I just wanted to get everyones opinion on a truck i found on craigslist. Its a few hours from me so i have to go off what the add says and the pictures. Its a 2001 ford f-150 xlt. Has 160,000 miles and cosmetically its a pretty nice truck. Owner says nothing is wrong with the f150. I did a history report off the vin and it has had 3 owners, and current owner got it back in 2008 with 78,000 miles. The report shows no negatives. this is all the add says
2001 Ford F-150 XLT Off Road 4X4, 4.6 liter Triton gas engine, auto trans, fuel tank strap recall has been completed, Fiberglass Bed Cover, Bed Liner,Cruise, Power Windows, Mirrors, locks including keyless entry and remote start. Bed has liner which is really tough, . Tires are about 90%. Transmission is great, engine runs great, tight body, no real creaks and cracks while driving. Suspension is good. New front brakes 3 months ago. Some rust in the typical places, cab corners, door creases, tailgate crease.Front grille has damage under drivers side headlight. The damage is hardly visable, its just a piece of the plastic thats broken
Sorry for such a long post, but i do not know much about trucks so i thought id get a little help. Also he wants $5,900 for it. Thanks alot.
