Default finally joining

I've come across this forum a few times searching for others things, and have finally decided to join. I'm a crewchief on the A-10 in the USAF. I'm stationed at Moody down in southern Georgia. My family has always been long time Ford owners so when I decided to buy a new truck it was no question as to where I would look. I have a 2009 Ford F-150 Flareside STX. I don't see too many roaming around out there so I feel somewhat unique. I couldn't imagine driving anything but a Ford!

Welcome to the forums. A-10 what a ride. Being crew chief you can ride with them can't you?

Some heavies like the C-130 have what they call flying crewchiefs that fly with the jet. It's a little different in the fighter world. Sometimes you can get what's called an incentive ride. A pilot will come out and give you a free ride for the day. You get to wear a flight suit and all the jazz. That's mainly with the F-15's and F-16's. We're not as lucky on the A-10 because it is only a one seater.
