Hey no problem! Glad you got it figured out. I know the feeling of getting a new truck and have it springin leaks like the damn titanic lol! Good info about the rtv ill remember that for next time for sure. and you should be good to go with only the 3rd brake light sealed up as that is the problem 99.9% of the time. I just went full crazy and put the silicone everywhere only because I had no idea where it was actually coming from since i hadn't really researched it on the forums yet. After research I found out that it is a very well documented problem with the ****ty gasket ford used on the third brake light literally everyone with our body style trucks will eventually have this problem, what a pain in the ***! lol

By the way your truck sure is good looking just as it sits now it sure is sharp and clean, I really like that tonneau cover thats the next step for my truck. Over all your truck has a extremely classy look to it love it! Cant tell it was a old mans truck before because it sure doesn't look all old manned out at all haha. I see some real bad old man custom deluxe train wrecks around where I live and work lol. Old man that drove yours seems to have good style and taste cause sometimes older gentlemen can really ruin a sharp truck and make you say "why?" haha. Yours looks very well taken care of and reeks of class! Congrats!

And these triton engines will just run and run and run especially the 4.6! its a damn tank! with proper maintenance and care she should have no problem truckin right along to 300,000 and beyond! At my work I've seen a few expeditions and f150s with both 4.6 and 5.4 both 2v and 3v used as work trucks with +500,000 on the clock and still running strong and these things were used and abused by us on job sites in the worst ways lol! Just kept up on maintenance and you can't kill em!

Now at work they have pretty much all of us driving newer chevys and they are in the shop for repairs, broken ****, and recalls more than we have them on the road no joke! Makes me love my f150 even freakin more! Sorry for the novel length reply haha.

Yeah the body will be shot well before the engine goes on this. That's was the main reason I got a this truck as a second truck. My 97 is over 50% bondo and primer covering up rust to keep it looking semi decent but it keeps getting worse and it isn't worth fixing it every year. And I don't think the old guy did anything to it other than regular maintenance since he bought it new with running boards and the hard cover.

You should see my rusted out POS sitting next to it in the driveway right now! My 97 still runs and drives great for the most part, but the headliner is falling everywhere, door sills are rusted out and when you get in you cut you leg on it if you wear shorts haha I saved and waited then pulled the trigger fast when I found a deal I liked!

Default Need some help

I've got to replace my IMRC bushings. I see I have to take the upper intake off and such to get to it. I just replaced my isolator bolts and gasket last year. Will I have to buy new bolts and new seal again since tearing it down or can I use the same bolts and seal?????
