Question F150 intro

Hi: newbie here...wanted to know a little about stuff on F150's. Like small noise from water pump when starting up and any additives to H2O to quiet noise? 110,000 miles 2002 model. Also what is the scoop on ceramic brake pads for F150? New rotors and ceramic pads and I gotta stand on the brakes to stop. Even the ABS goes off. What's up

Welcome aboard.

First off, the water pump. If you're hearing noise, replace it before it decides to completely seize. Then you could end up with ALOT of hassle.

With the brakes, I installed ceramic pads on my 2002 and noticed that for the first couple weeks I had to apply a little more pressure than with a carbon pad. IDK why. If you are having to apply a ton of pressure to stop, I'd have the rotors checked but give it a week or so to settle in.
