Wink F150 Ecoboost Question

Hi,

New to the forum, just took possession of a 2011 FX4 EcoBoost, Crew, and I love it! Anybody know if putting a K&N filter on is OK? I assume so, but just checking. Dont want to screw up the truck first thing. Anyone know a part no. by chance?

Thanks,

Dan

Though I did it in the past I personally would not put an oiled filter on any new vehicle.

The Motorcraft paper ones flow just as good and filter better...you can buy a lot a paper filters for the cost of a oiled one.

Just by $.02 though

I kind of agree........Stick with the Motorcraft. Don't know if a first generation of that engine is friendly to after market parts. Besides it is still under warranty. Just what I would do.
Welcome!

Just use the paper motorcraft filters and change them every few months according to environmental conditions. Since we are in the spring right now, a lot of pollen in the air. So you might want to get a new filter in late may. They are cheap and will keep your engine running at it's peak eff.
