Yeah, I'm a bastard child of the forums, don't really belong here, probably should go back to my country (Chappelle reference).
The expedition forums are kind of lite on information. Yet this place is hoppin'!!!
I bought a new 18 expedition XLT 4x4 HD tow pkg, and Rapid spec group 000 - Poverty Pkg the last days of July.
Has anyone in their F150 datalogged and/or used a program that calculates 0-60 and 1/8 and 1/4 mile times, with speed?
I've got a cheapo OBDLink MX that has several user definable gauges, including Hp and Tq ( most likely crank shaft calculations, as well as boost, rpm, etc. In a separate area it also has a "performance" timer, that is triggered once you come to a complete stop, followed by movement, until you cover the distance.
My question is, if anyone has had the opportunity to use something like this, not necessarily the OBDLink (I know some performance cars come from the factory with this ability in the driver's information display) but any on-board device, even if oem, and compared it to a timeslip from the dragstrip?
I'd like to think the measurements I'm getting are close, (I doubt they are spot-on) I'm curious how close or optimistic they are when compared to timing lights?
I plan to go to the track soon, but in the meantime, as long as this device is consistent, and I believe it is, it is helping me figure out how to launch this party bus well enough to surprise some folks. It is bone stock, other than using 93 octane with zero ethanol, exclusively.
Thanks
