Close to pulling the trigger...
Hello all,
I am very close to pulling the trigger on a new 2012 F150 XLT 4x4 Extended Cab with the Ecoboost engine. I am currently driving a 2008 Toyota Tundra that has been a great truck. I'm just really intrigued by this engine, and very impressed with it's performance. Are there any good tips, trick, etc. that you all can share to assist me with this truck? It also has the electric locking rear differential. How good of a unit is this? Are there any gremlins in this truck I need to be aware of? (Every truck has it's issues, I just want to know going in.) Thank you all in advance.

It's been confirmed on multiple cases that it is a hit or miss on the mileage of the Ecoboosts, both from people on here and a guy at the dealership I talked to recently. But other than that, they're great trucks. As with any brand new item there will be flaws and gremlins. There is no way to mass produce something with absolutely no problems right off the drawing board, so if there are problems dont get in a tizzy, let the warranty take care of it. With all that being said, welcome to the forum!
Maybe an EB owner will chime in with some opinions on it.
