Default Chrome Bumper conversion

Hello, I am looking at buying a 2017 xl f150 today, the only one we could find that matched what we need had the chrome front and rear bumper.

How hard is it and expensive to change out the chrome and put on the black bumpers?

I'm wanting to do the same thing...They don't have the fronts for 2018 but they do for a 2017. Thank Summers22..He pointed them out to me.

Welcome to the site. I blacked out my front bumper by using a can of Plasti-dip. Easy to install and lasted 3 years so far. If you don't like it, you can always just rub it off. My second choice would be to have them Line-X'd but with a lighter coat than they do for the bed liners. Just my .02cents.

Triton07, any chance you can detail the process you used and add a picture of your bumper? I've got a 2013 Lariat with chrome bumpers I want to either black out or cover in bed liner.

Thanks!
