Want to see if anybody went inside.
Before I start.

Might want to look at the President Bill for a 40 channel that will fit inside a console. I am using this unit but mounted just outside and on the console. Will need a external speaker if you do this. But the Mic on this one does have an up and down change channel buttons. So that would be needed since you cannot get to the channel lever or any ***** if its in the console. You'd set the thing up and operate from that point. Its a good little well made radio. Smallest one I've seen that is quality made.
There is a key on switched plug inside my console so I used that for my power. Just put a cigarette style plug on the radio and plugged it in there. The power is delay off. So it runs for about 10 more minutes before powering down. If yours has that receptacle and your already in the console then so be it.
Good fender mount system for the f150 is also available from that Walcott radio place. I used that late model F150 kit and a 3 foot fire stick... and added a spring and a quick connect as well. I ran my cable over to the passenger side and into the floor grommet thats available over that side. Right under the carpet where your passengers feet would be. Used up all my cable doing this and fit nicely. No need to coil any of it. Getting decent SWR's.
note... you may want to ask a mod to move this to a more appropriate forum space so it gets more attention. Introduction forum is not a good place for it.
