Default "Cat" Questions

I have a 2001 f-150 5.4 4x4 supercrew, i was wondering if anyone has been able to take the catylitic converters off without any problems to the way it runs or the check engine light. Any input would be valued.

I would think if you didn't have mil eliminators in place of the O2 sensors you would definitley get an check engine light. It's a major part of the emissions system so if it up and disappears the computer is gonna throw a red flag.
